About Me

I am originally from Southern California (Downey to be exact). I came to San Francisco for undergrad and completed my Bachelor's in History with an emphasis in Latin American studies. I was a first-generation student, so I hope to help first year and first-generation students with college success. I am currently pursuing my Master's of Library and Information Science from San José State University.

I started as a Library Assistant for the Reference Department here at Gleeson Library | Geschke Center in 2018. Previously, I worked at Gleeson as a Student Assistant for the Reference Department during my undergrad. After completing my undergraduate degree, I worked at the Bancroft Library at UC Berkeley and for Access Services at Gleeson.

My interests include hiking, trying new restaurants, and plants! During my undergraduate career my research focused on giving voice to marginalized historical actors and the construction of identity. My professional interests include increasing p.o.c. representation in libraries and working with students from historically marginalized backgrounds.
