Training
- Anne Braden Anti-Racist Organizer Training Program is a 4 month political education and leadership development program is designed to support the vision, strategy, and organizing skills of white activists in becoming accountable, principled anti-racist organizers building multiracial movements for justice.
- Anti-Oppression Resource and Training Alliance (AORTA) is a worker-owned cooperative devoted to strengthening movements for social justice and a solidarity economy. We work as consultants and facilitators to expand the capacity of cooperative, collective, and community based projects through education, training, and planning.
- National Conference on Race and Ethnicity (NCORE) is a higher education conference designed to provide a significant forum for discussion, critical dialogue, and exchange of information as institutions search for effective strategies to enhance access, social development, education, positive communication, and cross-cultural understanding in culturally diverse settings.
- White Privilege Conference (WPC) is a conference that examines challenging concepts of privilege and oppression and offers solutions and team building strategies to work toward a more equitable world. WPC welcomes folks with varying levels of experience addressing issues of diversity, cultural competency, and multiculturalism.
Organizations
- Bay Area Childcare Collective (BACC) began as a primarily white solidarity organization founded to support people of color led racial justice organizations. While we continue to center organizations composed of and led by m/others of color and low-income m/others, our own constituency and model has grown from its original foundation. Our current long-term partners are Causa Justa :: Just Cause, POWER (People Organized to Win Employment Rights), La Colectiva de Mujeres, and LeftRoots. We also work with other groups on a case by case basis as capacity allows.
- Catalyst Project (Bay Area) organizes, trains and mentors white people to take collective action to end racism, war and empire, and to support efforts to build power in working-class communities of color. In addition to offering organizational training and public programming, Catalyst offers the Anne Braden Anti-Racist Organizer Training Program, a four month intensive training for white social justice activists.
- Causa Justa :: Just Cause (Bay Area) invites you to support the organizing work of Black and Latino activists by volunteering for office support, the tenant rights clinic, justice cabs, and fundraising. Born through mergers between Black and Latino organizations, CJJC conducts grassroots campaigns around housing, employment and immigration rights.
- Showing Up for Racial Justice (SURJ) is a national network of groups and individuals organizing white people for racial justice. Through community organizing, mobilizing, and education, SURJ moves white people to act as part of a multi-racial majority for justice with passion and accountability.
- White Noise Collective (Bay Area) Through blogs, workshops and monthly dialogues, we collectively investigate patterns common among people socialized as both white and female.
