Library Services During COVID-19

General Information

Gleeson Library has shifted access to resources and services to a remote-first model in response to COVID-19. Library faculty and staff are committed to providing online access to information and research services to students, staff, and faculty during this time of uncertainty. We are here to support you — classes are online and so is the library. This page outlines our available resources and services, as well as any changes in operations.

The Library will follow the lead of the University and update these pages in accordance with USF's Emergency Resources & Campus Protocols. Check back here for the latest library information. If you have any questions, Ask A Librarian.

Recent Updates

September 4, 2020

We have extended our home delivery service — free shipment of physical materials from Gleeson Library to your home, including a pre-paid return shipping label — to current students and faculty at international addresses. Eligibility information and instructions on how to request home shipping is on our document delivery page. See the most up to date information about due dates, borrowing, returning, and renewing library materials.

 

August 27, 2020

Due to revised San Francisco Department of Public Health guidelines, Gleeson Library is no longer open to the small number of students that previously had pre-approval to access the building. Access for pre-approved faculty and staff will continue, so long as they have completed their daily health screening. See the most up to date information about building access and library hours.

 

August 25, 2020

Gleeson Library has resumed processing ILL borrowing requests for print books and other physical materials. We will make every reasonable effort to ship these materials to home addresses, but some restrictions apply. ILL item pickup at the library is not available. See the most up to date information about interlibrary loan requests.
