Library Services During COVID-19

Interlibrary Loan and LINK+ Requests

Interlibrary Loan (ILL)

USF community members

ILL requesting is available for electronic materials (e.g. articles and chapters) and physical materials (e.g. print books).

Gleeson Library will cover costs up to $15 per request for currently enrolled USF students and $35 per request for full time and part time faculty. Please submit all ILL requests using the online ILL request form, ILLiad.

Item pickup

Starting August 24, all physical ILL materials will be held at the Circulation Desk for pickup at the library; these materials will no longer be automatically processed for home delivery. You will need your ID card (mobile/physical) to check-out all materials.

Home delivery

Please contact ill@usfca.edu if you wish to continue having ILL items shipped to your home address. We will make every reasonable effort to ship ILL materials to home addresses. Some limitations and restrictions apply:

  • It will take longer to receive physical print materials due to shipping time from the lending library, quarantining of the package at Gleeson Library, and shipping time from Gleeson Library to your home address.
  • A recipient’s signature will be required on all shipped ILL materials.
  • Fewer libraries have the capacity and ability to lend physical materials; cancellations are expected.
  • We are unable to ship ILL materials to USF community members with international addresses.

Participating ILL institutions

We are now processing lending requests for both electronic and physical materials.

LINK+

LINK+ requesting is available for physical materials, including print books and DVDs.
