DynaMed Mobile Installation

Instructions on downloading DynaMed to a mobile device

Please note, if you have been using the Dynamed Plus app on your mobile device, you will have to delete the DynaMed Plus app and install the DynaMed app.

  • From either your mobile device or a computer, access Dynamed through the library's website by going to: https://guides.usfca.edu/dynamed

  • Click the Sign In link in the top toolbar of the screen.

  • On the Sign In screen, click the Register Now link.

  • On the Register for a Personal Account screen, enter an Email Address and password to be used as your log in credentials.

    Note: When creating a password, ensure your password meets the following criteria:

    • Must be at least 6 characters long

    • Must contain at least one special character

    • Must contain at least one number

    • Can not contain any words that are excluded. (e.g."dynamed" and "ebsco")

  • Complete the fields in the Your Information area and click Register.

  • After clicking Register, your personal account is created and you can sign in with your credentials.

  • The first time you log in, you are prompted to read the Personal Data Retention and Usage policy. Select the Yes button to consent to the collection of your personalized data and click Continue to finish setting up your account.

  • From your mobile device, go to the App Store or Google Play. Search for and install the DynaMed app. When asked to log-in, use the credentials you just created.

  • Select your preferred storage settings: 

    • Online Only: uses the smallest amount of space on your phone

    • Partial Install: stores text and thumbnails on your device, full images available when connected to the internet. 

    • Full install: stores all content on your device. 

  • Your device is ready to go!
