About Me
I was born in Seattle and come from a proud family of former migrant workers in eastern Washington. I have lived in San Francisco since 2017 and consider it my newfound home. I have an undergraduate degree in Journalism/Public Relations, and a master's degree in Comparative Literature from University College London, focusing on Mexican female artists in the aftermath of the Mexican Revolution.
Work
I joined Gleeson Library in December 2021 after nearly ten years in the arts non-profit sector, most recently with San Francisco Ballet. I have been interested in transitioning to the university library system ever since completing my master's degree, and am thrilled to get to begin this new chapter with USF.
Interests
I write poetry, short stories, and creative non-fiction exploring the spectrum of Latinidad, identity, and belonging. I am an alumna of the Hedgebrook Spring 2021 Residency and the Sou'wester Artist Residency Program. I also love reading, secondhand bookstores, thrifting, traveling, meditation, film photography, and language learning.
