Reference Librarian / Education Liaison
I am a white, non-binary, queer person from a working class background. My pronouns are they/them/theirs and she/her/hers. I am a first generation college student with a Master's Degree in Library and Information Science from San Jose State University and a Bachelor's Degree in Religious Studies from the University of Illinois.
I have been working at USF as a reference librarian since February 2011. My primary duties involve supporting the School of Education programs through library instruction and collection development. I serve as co-chair for the University Council on Diversity and Inclusion as well as a member of the Bias Education Resource Team and the Working Group on Universal Access. In addition to library instruction, I also facilitate workshops on gender identity.
I am passionate about about social justice pedagogy, universal design and transformative justice. I am trained as a restorative justice facilitator, and I welcome opportunities to explore community building both inside and outside the classroom.
