About Me

I was born in San Francisco and lived up and down both coasts of the U.S. as a child. I went to high school at Taipei American School (Taiwan), have a BA in Culture, Ecology, and Sustainable Community from New College of California and an MS in Library and Information Science from University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign.

Past Lives

I've worked in all kinds of libraries in Southern and Northern California, and in between have been a recycler, a photographer, a bindery worker, a paralegal, and a planning and environmental law analyst.

Gleeson Library | Geschke Center

I've worked here since 1998, when I started out in Periodicals and moved to Technical Services as a Library Assistant. In my current position, which I've held since 2003, besides my liaison areas I'm responsible for collection development, acquisition and cataloging of the library's non-book collections (videos, maps, etc.) as well as overseeing government documents and gifts collections processing.

Professional Interests

Media librarianship, liaison areas, international students and libraries, non-book cataloging, collection management and outreach.
