I grew up in Petaluma, CA. I have a B.A. in English from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, a Masters in English Literature from San Francisco State University, and a Masters of Library and Information Science from San Jose State University. I have also studied at Aix-Marseille Université.
I began working as a library assistant in Access Services at Gleeson Library | Geschke Learning Resource Center in 2006, and joined the Reference department in 2015. Prior to Gleeson, I worked in the human resources department of an investment firm.
Feminist pedagogy, editing Wikipedia, and studying library history and its intersections with artistic and literary movements: one of my favorite parts of my masters thesis project was reading and writing about the 135th Street Branch of the NYPL during the Harlem Renaissance.
