As the Head of Cataloging and Metadata Management, I direct the library's approach to describing, analyzing, and classifying all of the resources that the library acquires. The libraries at USF provide a wide array of resources to students, faculty, and staff, on campus and off. The Cataloging and Metadata Management department makes decisions about how resources are represented in the library catalog, where they are shelved, and how information in the catalog is displayed and indexed. Our primary goal is to connect you with the library resources you need. We also support the library's digital collections initiatives through the creation of metadata, application of controlled vocabularies, and transformation and enhancement of descriptive metadata.
