National DEI Conferences

Joint Conference of Librarians of Color (JCLC)

The Joint Conference of Librarians of Color brings together "a diverse group of librarians, library staff, library supporters, and community participants to explore issues of diversity in libraries and how they affect the ethnic communities who use our services." The 4th National Joint Conference of Librarians of Color will be held February 8-12, 2023, at the TradeWinds Island Grand Resort in St. Pete Beach, Florida.

AAC&U Diversity, Equity, and Student Success

"AAC&U invites you to join us for a conference that will go beyond the rhetoric and prioritize campus strategies, institutional culture, and accountability in operationalizing the values of equity and diversity. Conference sessions will explore the experiences of institutional and community participants, identify barriers that are hindering our progress, and promote discussion of the privileges, the biases, and the false belief in a hierarchy of human value that are embedded in our systems, structures, and policies. It is imperative that we stay focused on making progress towards transformation that can be achieved and sustained, and the efforts that represent more than just our words."  The 2022 Conference on Diversity, Equity, and Student Success will be held March 17-19, 2022, at the New Orleans Marriott in New Orleans, Louisiana.

National Conference on Race and Ethnicity

Formed in 1961, the Southwest Center is devoted to the study, understanding, and resolution of human conflict and to promoting understanding and cooperation among people of different racial, ethnic, religious, and economic backgrounds. One of the major programs of the Southwest Center is the Annual National Conference on Race and Ethnicity in American Higher Education (NCORE), which serves as the leading national forum on issues of race and ethnicity in American higher education. The 35th Annual National Conference on Race & Ethnicity in Higher Education will return to an in-person format in Portland, Oregon, from May 30 - June 3, 2023.
